This piece again is on my new topic "kill the dead brand"
This character's name is speedee. He was well known as the first drive thru mascot for Mcdonald until the "M" came in and took over during the 1960. The characters at the background are the actual illustration of him playing sport being active and cheerful in the past. The character in the middle is the present time of him. I want to illustrate him smoking a cigarette and looking down upon himself. I want to kill this character not through physical but emotionally. He is having a smoke because he was fire from mcdonald and now he have nothing to do except eat big mac and drink coke.

I didn't like the one before becuz it looks like the kid and dad was killed because of the splash effect.
so I switch it up to the far top left trying to make it lookl ike a the sun.
I don't know but if its anything I am thinking of taking the splash off

I illustrate this for air Canada's competition award.
They are having their 70th anniversary.
I want to capture a family moment in this illustration . The kid raise his arm pretending to throw an airplane with his imagination. The planes in the background are illustrations of air canada's planes.
I also want to advertise Toronto, thats why I illustrate the C.N tower at the bottom left of the image.
