jimmy hendrix

This is a portrait of jimmy Hendrix.
I want to portrait jimmy as a Buddhist god.
I through in many different graphic in this image such as the paisley patterns in the back and the deer at the bottom.
This one took me a while to think it through.... probably because I was getting sick of the splashing effect.
well anyway enjoy

what this? you gave the god a urgely image. before you draw you may research who is he? what's the image or spirit of believers thinking? Eric I'm happy your works are developed very well, keep going... did you send the blog to Ed?

good job, the drawing is very strong, and the pattern is great. the halo imagery in his affro is cool too. its a nice focal point. i like the dear too as a visual element.

a couple of things though. i think jimis likeness is a little bit off, because the face is so styalized, and he is the same tone as the paper. i wish you had done him in a brown tone and left the robe a white milky colour. also the guitar, amp and lighter are the same colour and the cord and fire also the same colour. u lazy bastard :) change them up, you can use more colours, they are small elements. maybe you can work a pattern in the hair too. but the main thing is that jimi pops out, and now he is kinda part of the background.

overall ... great job ...*A*... this style is improving fast. keep it up..
